The NJ AHDL is offering sheep and goat herd health serology panels. The sheep panel includes brucellosis, ovine progressive pneumonia, caseous lymphadenitis, and Johnes. The goat panel includes brucellosis, caprine arthritis encephalitis, casoues lymphadenitis, and Johnes. These panels allow farmers and their herd veterinarians to develop customized eradication, control and prevention strategies for these diseases with the aid of laboratory results. This panel is recommended for herds participating in New Jersey Sheep and Goat Herd Health Assurance Program offered by the NJDA Division of Animal Health to assist producers in raising healthy small ruminants.
